The Boring Company expands to Nashville and Dubai
After the Vegas Loop, The Boring Company won approval for a Nashville “Music City Loop” and a Dubai Loop agreement — extending its underground transit beyond Las Vegas.

Having built the operational Vegas Loop, The Boring Company moved to new cities in 2025: Nashville approved a “Music City Loop” and tunneling work began, and the company reached an agreement with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority for a Dubai Loop. These are the first major expansions of the Loop concept beyond Las Vegas.
The expansion answers the criticism that Boring was a one-city novelty. With the Vegas Loop carrying millions of passengers and Prufrock machines setting tunneling-speed records, signing new cities shows the model can be replicated — even if, like all infrastructure, timelines remain to be proven.
The pitch to cities is straightforward economics: by digging smaller-diameter tunnels and running electric vehicles through them instead of boring giant subway tubes, the Loop aims to cut tunnelling costs by an order of magnitude and build in months rather than decades. Whether it scales into true mass transit is still an open question — but a privately funded, operational underground system already carrying millions of paying riders is more than most “future of transport” concepts ever deliver.
