Grokipedia launches

On 27 October 2025, xAI launched Grokipedia in public beta — an AI-generated online encyclopedia pitched by Musk as a more neutral alternative to Wikipedia. The site debuted with a reported ~885,000 articles, generated and fact-checked by the Grok model rather than written by volunteer editors.

Musk framed the project as an effort to deliver entries grounded in verifiable sourcing at machine scale.
